Free Dance Program
Dance Mehekma introduced its first Community Camp in 2019, which received an overwhelming response with 600+ enrollments. The camp was conducted completely free of cost to make quality dance education accessible to everyone. Building on that initiative, Dance Mehekma has continued to provide the Free Dance Program (FDP) every year.
FDP is conducted for a specific period in which the main focus is on strengthening basic foundations, where students learn vocabulary from different dance styles along with choreographies. Other than this, students also get to learn about concepts like musicality and character. At the end of each month, exams and battles are conducted to evaluate their progress. The program also includes counselling sessions led by teachers, where students are observed throughout the program and given detailed feedback about their growth, strengths, and the areas they need to focus on for further improvement. The main focus of this program is to make people understand the importance of training in dance by understanding both physical movement and the reasons behind it.
